4 things you need to know about supplements..

4 things you need to know about supplements.. The supplement business is certainly growing and will continue to grow into the future. With that said, there's a lot of fluff and hype going around right now. This is my attempt at cutting through the bull and giving you what you need to know.  Health supplements can be substances you eat or drink. They can be vitamins, minerals, herbs, or different combinations of these. They can be in pill, capsule, tablet, or liquid form. Most people take them for health-related reasons. Some take them for show. Whatever your reason, check this out. I recently read an article that said about 50% of the country supplements; if you're one of these here are a couple of things to consider. 1. All health supplements are NOT created equal. Health supplements are NOT all made the same way. That sounds simple, but most people don't realize that. Also, concentrations and quality of said vitamin and/or mineral can vary

Who do you listen to?

Who do you listen to? "The fool doth think he is wise, but the wise man knows himself to be a fool." - William Shakespeare First thing is first. There's a bunch of advice every where you turn these days. Everywhere you go there's someone who's an expert on something and wants to give you direction and tell you what to think.   Be careful who you counsel with! Am I saying taking advice is bad or wrong? Absolutely not! It is advantageous to learn and benefit from others' experience, but it must be from a credible source.   Please make sure the person offering you advice is qualified to do so. Every time you take someone's advice, essentially you "buy" their life.  Would you hire a fat personal trainer? What about a broke financial planner?  Would you ask a kidless person parenting advice? Would you get an electrician to change the transmission in you car? I'll wait.. *plays Jeopardy music*

Friend or Associate...

Recently, one of my clients called me asking some advice.  She was almost heartbroken at some comments a FRIEND of many years made.  Short story shorter, she's been making some changes in her life for the better and said FRIEND didn't respond in an encouraging manner. Said FRIEND starts grilling her!  The "friend" and I use that term loosely asks  "Why you always forward thinking all of a sudden?"  "Why you always talking about reading books?"  "Why you always going to those empowerment meetings?" Pause... Ask yourself, would a REAL FRIEND discourage your personal growth?  I'm sure we all know the answer to that. Fact is, many people we consider friends are really associates. They may be friend-ly or friend-like, but friends they are not. Everybody you know DOESN'T have your best interests at heart.  A REAL FRIEND would be happy for your personal growth and upc
