The best compliment I've ever received..
Things always have a way of working out, and God always sends signs when you need them..
Not that you should ask for them. Don't worry if you do, I've done that before too. I just learned why I shouldn't the other day, but that's a blog all by itself
We all know God uses people, I think he used someone to send me a message the other day. I wrote a blog about it, wanna read it? Here it goes...
Someone text me "Out of the blue" ( whatever that means) and said
"You're a very special person"
If you know me, you know I ask lots of questions about EVERYTHING. I like for communication to be clear, and I want to be on the same page with you if we're conversing. This occasion was no different. I ask why said person thought this way. She says "the way you live."
I'm confused at this point.
At the time, I was overcoming challenges and actually having a pretty rough day. I asked her to elaborate on her comment and she said "You live the way you want to and make your own rules."
While that's a simple sentence, I got so much from it. I thanked her for her compliment and couldn't shake the thought of what she implying. Those few simple text messages meant more to me than she'll ever know. Interestingly enough, after hours of pondering, I believe I figured out what she was doing. In my slight arrogance, my first thought was "Does she want to jump my bones?" My next thought was, " Doesn't everyone do that?" Then it hit me, everyone doesn't. She was admiring my courage. My courage to set myself apart, ignore the status quo, to observe the masses and do the opposite. Thing is, I forgot all about it. I'm not sure if it was her intention, or a little encouragement from above, however this short conversation helped me remember one of my greatest strengths. To date, this is the best compliment I've ever received.
In conclusion, be courageous. Live the way you want to live. Do, be, and have anything that you want, because you can. Make your own rules, life is more fun that way. I'm not saying it'll always be fun, but it'll sure be worth it. You're awesome.
Hop in the driver's seat of your life.
