Questions

I'm all for following your dreams, doing what you love, and being who are you are. I love being different and going the path less traveled. As are many of you, I've been a rebel all my life. Our generation is pretty good at this concept. I firmly believe if you see everyone going in a particular direction, you should do the opposite. However, I believe everything we do should have a cause or purpose....and it does.  After all, shouldn't we have purpose? Direction? Substance? Something?Today, I question it

I question everything and I question if often. Our generation is famous for saying "IDGAF" , "I don't care what people think" and screaming how much of an individual we are.

Let's be honest for a second.

Is it the complete opposite? Do we really not care what others think? Or is all that just a facade and cry out for attention? Are we quietly craving acceptance from everyone? Or better yet, people we don't even know? Do we care what the wrong people think? Do we do more things for social media likes than purpose...or even simple personal satisfaction? Is it true we'd rather look good than actually be good? Are you doing things because you like them, or because you think other people will like them? Are we a generation that is directed by a purpose or vanity? Are we like so many people would rather have "fame" than resources, security, and legacy? Are we a generation of of lazy narcissists that care too much what others think....... yet want all the fruits of hard work by only taking selfies? Do we have a cause? Do we operate from purpose? Do we have direction? Substance? Something? Anything?

Are we who we say we are?

When I was over 100k in delinquent debt

When I was over 100k in delinquent debt on the brink of losing everything I had to look myself in the mirror and take inventory. After making what I considered a tremendous amount of money at the time, now I sit here and realized I exhausted my savings, investments, credit, and almost ALL resources. I was blaming everything. The economy, bad partners, bad employees, stock market, location, bad vendors...you name it...I blamed it. But again, I had to take inventory How did I get here? Was it the economy? or was it me? Was it time to close businesses? Sell businesses? Sell assets? Was I successful as I thought I was? After careful consideration... I came to the conclusion I did work hard... I did do some things right.... but here I was... because I made some bad decisions and didn't hustle hard enough. Success made me soft. I stopped doing what I did to get there and coasted a bit. I did not prepare myself. I did not insulate myself. The economy WAS bad, but I still should have had better…

Are your best days in the past or are they yet to come?

Ask yourself.
Are your best days in the past  or are they yet to come?
Well, when you ask 99% of  people out there, here’s what  happens.
They pause and then…
They're going to kind of look down and let out a little sigh and they’re going to tell you  something like:
"Back in my day…
...I was the shit."
Or they’re going to say:
"Yeah... life used to be so easy… Life used to be… so chill."
Right?
That’s just depressing.
Seriously.
Who cares about your past?
I’m telling you if your best days  are in the past, you’ve got a  problem.
A big one.
It tells me first of all, you aren't looking forward to anything. You probably hate your work.

You probably have no control of your
