Lights, camera, ACTION!

We're in a hilariously interesting time of vanity, self service, self promotion, and even social media stardom. Social media has given everyone a chance at a faux and sometimes very real "spotlight." It's given everyone with an internet connection a platform and voice. As a fan of social media and it's reach, I'm not mad at it at all...but I do want to discuss some things. If you own the account you can post whatever you like, I'm no censor....but I do have some questions.

My question is, in the middle of the "Hey look at me?!?" and "Here's what I'm about to do!" posts, who are you trying to convince? I know everyone has become their own publicist....but is it for you or for us?

Here's the reality. As vain as we are, most of us like the spotlight...if even just a little.  I've even seen the "Most moves less announcements posts...and then what do you see under it? A fucking announcement! lol Because Merica. Some people aren't what they post to be...and that's okay....but let's not fake ourselves out.The worst person we can lie to is ourselves.  It's cool to be in front of the camera, and in the lights...in the building stage of the dream...but let's not stay there. We can post all day about what we're going to do but until we do it...it means nothing.

We've all been guilty of this and it's your feed so post what you like but If you're posting about it more than you're stepping towards it, it's time for a reality check. Am I saying you shouldn't post motivational stuff for yourself or others? Absolutely not. I've done it, currently do it, and I'm all for motivating yourself and or others....and posting motivational material is better than posting twerk videos.... but here's the skinny. You must take action that will move you towards your goals. Develop a sense of urgency for your own life. Stop examining and explaining and start doing. In the great words of DMX Talk is cheap muthafuckas!

Run towards a goal that will give you a greater sense of purpose, accomplishment, and satisfaction in your own life. Make it happen!

Fuck the lights and camera....take ACTION!

So what are you going to DO today?

No vacancy!

Don’t allow people or bad thoughts to occupy space in your head rent free!
I own some real estate and I would never allow a tenant to stay rent free. In that same spirit I would never allow negative conversations or gossip to occupy my mind rent free. My mind is the most valuable piece of real estate I own. The ideas that live there have given me the greatest returns. To think I would allow a non-paying relationship or conversation to stay there for free when paying ideas are looking for a room is crazy!
Let negative people be negative with their negative lives and their negative bank accounts!
When it comes to negativity...
repeat after me...

You don't need a second job...

Follow the logic here. When most people need more money, they go get a second job. Your primary income is a job. It’s not bringing you enough income, so you look to supplement it with another one. Usually the second job is some kinda retail or unusual shift and pays less than the first one. If you think about it, it is actually more of the same. You're getting more of something that isn't meeting your needs anyway. After you work your fulltime there are only a few hours left for you to create more income. We only have 24 hours in a day, so your time is somewhat limited. You’re typically tired from the fulltime so you can only work the part time a few days a week...if they let you. Then after you take the taxes out, additional costs incurred by working and extra job (dinners out, different apparel, baby sitters) what did you REALLY bring home per hour after working and all the commuting and errands that come with it?

Does that make sense? I&…
